Going solo

One member of our little woodland adventure had a free day recently while the other two of us had work.
So he set off on a solo building adventure he decided what the shack was missing was a lean-to pourch,so armed with only a bow saw a couple of tin roofing sheets and a handful of rusty nails set about this needed addition to the shack, words cannot explain how he managed it but he did.
With poles and framework made with silver birch trees it looks amazing well done mate.

Room with a view

February has been a good month for our woodland adventure after the floor boarding we set about getting some daylight into the shack
A window was sourced and after much cutting of the tin sheets (and a fair amount of swearing after my generator was putting out any electric) the window was eased into it's newly awaiting frame, and now the shack is looking almost habitable so with that in mind we planned our fist over night stop out
A Saturday night was the best for a taking part , a lamb tagine was prepared along with much refreshment's of the grape and grain variety, the gas bottle wood burning stove work well and gave us much warmth and after some black bomber cheese we retired.
We woke early the next morning all very cold there needs to be some further work done on blocking out some of the drafts.
