It has been a busy time since the last post so I will try to get back on track with the diary posts.
First item that was tackled after the pourch was to finish the front with a privacy screen type affair again made out of split willow poles.
On the same day we set about building a wood oven (not made of the stuff obviously) after much research via the net and a well known video sharing site we had a plan
So armed with an old vegetable oil tin and a surplus piece of flue pipe we began to dig, we managed to fashion a oven much like the ones we had seen during our research that was until it was lit .... well after a lot of fueling and blowing which made you light headed it was hopeless it just wasn't getting hot, well even warm
It was sadly abandoned in favor of the dutch oven.
Damper bread that the was forward was mentioned, that was until we forgot to damp the fire down hence the name and what we ended up with can only resemble a burnt coconut.
The next on the agenda was to line out the inside of our now second home with some plywood that had been previously purloined
I can't take any credit for this endeavor as the magnificent procedure lies with my two companions
I could go into depths about this procedure but I won't
However I will go in to depths about one other follicley challenged member while carry the board from the cache on his head down to shack resulted in a rather sore and reddend head, I am sure it was very sore at the time but I have no doubt that this event may bring some comedic value in the future.
